Round curved plate with inlaid nerikomi butterfly design.
Each plate is individually handmade by cutting, assembling and pressing thin shapes of stained and marbled clay bodies into white stoneware clay. The slab is then carefully formed in a mould, dried, fired and finished with a glossy transparent glaze. A playful, decorative, one-off piece which embraces the accidental surprises that occur during the making process.
Some wobbles and irregularities in the form.
